About the data

The Well Fed Pet lists independent pet stores and the food brands they carry. We start from public place data, keep the independent pet stores, and then read each store's own website to see which brands and food types it mentions.

Where it comes from

Store locations come from Overture Maps (CDLA-Permissive 2.0, Apache 2.0). Brands, food types and services come from each store's own website. Every page says when the stores on it were last checked.

What it means

A brand on a store's page means the store's website mentions it. It is not a guarantee that a product is on the shelf today, so call ahead for anything specific.
